DIRECTOR, STANFORD PROGRAM IN CHINA

The Bing Overseas Studies Program at Stanford University invites applications for Director of the Stanford Program in Beijing.   

The position is responsible for in-country operations, ensuring the highest quality in all academic and administrative aspects.  Specific responsibilities include academic program and curriculum development, relations with Peking University, student life, administration and budget, technology, work and internship opportunities, and relations with Bing Overseas Studies, visiting faculty, alumni and donors.  The successful candidate will reside in China or be willing to locate, have demonstrated experience with American undergraduates, an earned doctorate, undergraduate teaching experience, fluency in English and Mandarin, Chinese cultural fluency and the ability to undertake international travel.  This is a 12 month ongoing appointment as an employee of Stanford University and eligible for University benefits programs.  Applications should be directed to:  Irene Kennedy, Executive Director, Bing Overseas Studies Program, Sweet Hall 138, Stanford University, Stanford, CA  9435 or may be sent electronically to:  beijingsearch@stanford.edu .  For further information about Bing Overseas Studies or to see a more complete job description go to:  http://osp.stanford.edu/news_events.html .  Application Deadline:  April 9, 2007.  Interviews w ill be held as early as possible thereafter.
