Headlines We Didn’t Need to See

I gave you my favorite headline yesterday, so here’s a few from the darker side. Well, not evil exactly, just completely unnecessary. I suppose journalists need to make a living, even if there’s nothing exciting to write about.

Online Gamers Mostly Students, Study Finds — quite a scoop, kudos to the journalist that figured this out

Ang Lee Acknowledges Editing New Film For Political Reasons — that’s a shocker; I figured a Hollywood director type would stick to high artistic principles (wait a minute, I said "Hollywood director" didn’t I? Never mind.)

China Is Ripe to See M&As — I wonder if that’s news to the forty corporate lawyer types downstairs who have done nothing else 24/7/52/365 for the past several years?

China Takes New Step to Cool Growth — could it be? yes, the tenth hike in the reserve ratio this year! I almost pissed myself in surprise when I read that.

Demand for Luxury Shows Growth — sarcasm escapes me. The sun also rose again this morning.

Hey, at least I didn’t lapse back into the 1970s/80s lingo of my youth and utter classic, and incredibly stupid, phrases of fake surprise like "No duh" and "No shit, Sherlock." I have my standards, you know.
