I'm sort of taking it easy for the next few days, only partially because of the National Day holiday (long story here, but I will save it for next week).
Anyway, probably no posts until Monday.
FYI, National Day festivities yesterday were interesting. I was out all day around town, watching crowds at different locations doing strange things (them, not me). Many of them were camped out at places like the Guomao bridge craning their necks looking skyward for the jet and helicopter procession towards Tiananmen. (I have a couple photos of the air show, which I'll post next week.)
At night, I was hanging out at the new Qing Feng park along the Tong Hui river (just south of Jianguolu at the 3rd Ring Road) when the fireworks started. They were just as horrible as the Olympics fireworks — someone needs to be fired for this atrocity.
That's it for now. Enjoy the rest of the holiday!
