The East Asian Institute (EAI) at the National University of Singapore
seeks to appoint two or more research fellows and senior research
fellows. Applicants should possess an earned Ph.D. in a social science
discipline (esp. economics, political science, sociology, and
international relations) and must be interested in conducting academic
and policy-relevant research on contemporary China or overseas
Chinese. Successful candidates will be offered an initial contract of
up to two years (renewable). Scholars may also come for shorter terms
on visiting appointments.

The East Asian Institute (EAI) at the National University of Singapore
is Asia's premier English-language research institute on China and
other East Asian societies. Located on the historic Bukit Timah
Campus, the institute boasts of superb library facilities and research

The commencing salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications,
experience and the level of appointment offered. Depending on the type
of contracts offered, benefits may include provident fund benefits or
a special payment for expatriate staff, relocation allowance and
subsidized housing.
