A Fluff Piece

OK, if anyone criticizes me for talking about this, I am just going to accept it with a small amount of shame.

The topic is Chinese leaders and dye jobs, a topic that will probably get this site permanently blocked. The Foreign Policy blog poses the question why so many Chinese leaders, who are definitely old enough for gray hair, go with the hair coloring.

The original article, from the Wall Street Journal, suggests that this is a function of a desire for youthfulness or a need to show the public that their leader is in good health. The FP blog suggests that it is done because the ladies dig it.

Me? I blame Ronald Reagan for starting the trend. And let's face it, with his turkey neck and the dye job, he made Jiang Zemin look really good by comparison.
