Water, water every where
媒体来源: 中国法律博客

Tis the season for lists of top stories of 2007 and predictions for 2008. My vote for the next several years is water, specifically the lack of it and the shortages that are developing in a lot of areas. The old stories about moving the capital somewhere have cropped up again (ridiculous in one way, but significant that anyone even talks about it), and a lot of folks out in the countryside who are already pissed off about numerous financial and property issues and also getting mighty upset about water shortages.

Coming from Southern California, I know all about water shortages and the fights between municipalities and agriculture. Ever see the movie Chinatown? It's all there.

If I were 10/15 years younger, I would take a class in natural resources law. Water is going to be huge.

Since I do not often read stuff on this topic, I'll be checking in regularly with Rich's CSR blog, Crossroads, where he recently posted on water.
