I love reading the Freakonomics Blog at the New York Times. Sometime you get wonderful nuggets of wisdom like this:

People who make millions of dollars doing one thing often come to view themselves as being experts in subjects far afield from those in which they made their wealth. Because they have so much money, others tend to humor them and tell them they are brilliant in the hopes of currying favor, so they don’t get realistic feedback.

Definitely true. It also makes me wonder why anyone reads my blog. I'm not sure that I'm wealthy enough to garner such attention. Let's face it, if Bill Gates started a blog tomorrow that focused on China legal issues, it would get huge amounts of traffic, at least for a while.

There's something profound here that should be said, but "profound" is way above my pay grade.
