McCain’s Subtle China Policy

With the Beijing Olympics just two weeks away, Sen. John McCain brought China to the forefront of the foreign-policy debate Friday by meeting with the Dalai Lama. [WSJ Article]

McCain: Hey, everybody in Pennsylvania and Ohio who have lost jobs in the last ten years, look, I'm "tough" on China. Look at how I smack 'em in the face right before the Olympics. That must mean that I can do something as president to get your job back. Trust me, this ain't just symbolism.

I'm John McCain, and I approve of this pitiful attempt at winning the blue-collar vote.
