What A Country! Han Han Channels Yakov Smirnoff
媒体来源: 中国法律博客

Somehow this troubles me.

The latest prognostication from uber-blogger Han Han (a Roland Soong translation):

2016: The number of Internet users in China drops down to 1 million. All websites are merged into a single website. It does not matter what URL you enter because you will be sent to that website. The updates are based upon the People’s Daily.

I'm not troubled by the gloomy, hyberbolic prose. No, what's alarming is the resemblance to this old chestnut:

In Russia we only had two TV channels. Channel One was propaganda. Channel Two consisted of a KGB officer telling you: Turn back at once to Channel One.

When Chinese Net criticism/satire begins to resemble stuff written by 80s comic Yakov Smirnoff, whose target was Soviet Russia, it tells you that folks are getting upset.
