Police have arrested a 74-year-old driver after his taxi hit and killed a 50-year-old woman in Wong Tai Sin.

At about 11pm yesterday, the man was driving along Choi Hung Road towards Kowloon City when the accident occurred near the junction with Hin Hing Street as the woman was crossing the road.

She was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was died just after midnight this morning.

The taxi driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
