Customs officers have arrested a 45-year-old man, after finding 117 boxes of illicit cigarettes worth $3.5 million in his truck at Man Kam To Control Point.

Officers stopped the truck for inspection about 4pm yesterday, and found 140 million illicit cigarettes with a potential duty value of $2.4 million.

They had been sorted and packed, and could be speedily delivered for sale.
