Officers launched the operation in June to combat the luring of youngsters into vice through online forums, social networking websites, and smart phone applications, in the name of "compensated dating".

They arrested 26 men and two women, aged 14 to 44, at various locations, and seized computers and mobile phones.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with one count of controlling a person for the purpose of prostitution and will appear in Kwun Tong Magistracy on September 7.

The remainder have been released on bail.
