The Judiciary today announced 23 appointments covering the District Court and Magistrates' Courts.

They include the Chief District Judge, 11 District Judges, and 11 Permanent Magistrates.

Judge Poon Siu-tung has been appointed as the Chief District Judge.

The new District Judges are Kwok Wai-kin, Josiah Lam, Anthony Kwok, David Dufton, Sham Siu-man, Amanda Woodcock, Hui Ka-ho, Jack Wong, Katherine Lo, Johnny Chan, and Gary Lam.

The new Permanent Magistrates are Li Chi-ho, Susan Wong, Winnie Lau, Daniel Tang, David Cheung, Cheng Lim-chi, Michelle Lam, David Chum, Timon Shum, Ko Wai-hung, and Ho Wai-yang.

All appointments are made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission. They will take effect on September 17.
