Police have arrested a 56-year-old public light bus driver for dangerous driving causing death after his vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian in Kwun Tong.

The accident happened at about 7.35pm, as the bus was travelling along Hip Wo Street towards Kwung Tong. Near 133 Hip Wo Street, it reportedly hit the 45-year-old man as he crossed the road. He fell into the opposite lane and was hit by a light goods vehicle and trapped underneath it.

Firefighters rescued him, but he was certified dead at the scene.
