Customs officers have arrested a 25-year-old lorry driver and seized smartphones worth $820,000 at the Lok Ma Chau control point.

The officers stopped a cross-boundary lorry declared to carry 184 cartons of batteries, plastic beans and integrated circuits at 7pm yesterday.

A total of 315 unmanifested smartphones were found in its driving compartment inside false compartments. The lorry was also seized.
