Police officers issued a total of 763 fixed penalty tickets and 43 summonses to road users violating traffic regulations in a crackdown on Hong Kong Island yesterday.
The 298 officers sent to enforce traffic regulations at traffic black sites in the region issued a total of 545 fixed-penalty tickets for illegal parking and 218 for other traffic offences.
A total of 2,247 traffic accidents involving casualties occurred on Hong Kong Island from January to September this year.
