Police have arrested a 28-year-old motorcyclist for dangerous driving causing death after an 80-year-old man was struck and killed in a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O today.

About 5.20am, a motorcycle was travelling on Po Lam Road North towards Sau Mau Ping and reportedly knocked down the man who was crossing the road near Tsui Lam Road.

He was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital and died at 7.15am. The motorcyclist was also injured and sent to the hospital, and will transfer to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The motorcyclist has been released on bail.
