Two boys, aged seven and eight, died in a village house fire in Pat Heung, Yuen Long, this morning. A 35-year-old woman was sent to hospital.

The fire broke out at No. 492 Kam Wing Garden around 12.55am. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 1.01am and used one jet and two breathing apparatus units to fight the blaze. It was largely put out at 1.22am.

The three victims were sent to hospitals where the boys were certified dead on arrival.

The Fire Services Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
