Eight people have been hospitalised after a fire erupted in a Quarry Bay residential building last night.
The blaze broke out about 10pm in Chung Hing Mansion on Kings Road.
Fire officers used 17 water jets and 22 breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze, and lead 25 people to safety.
The fire was extinguished about 3am. Thirty flats were damaged.
Seven people suffered from smoke inhalation and another was injured in the fire. They were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment. Two have been discharged and the rest are stable.
