Customs officers have seized 569 tusks worth $10.65 million.

The 1,330kg haul was found in a container from a vessel arriving from Tanzania.

The tusks were packed in 45 nylon bags, hidden by 478 bags of sunflower seeds.

The Customs & Excise Department is seeking the smuggling syndicate members.
