5 arrested for parallel trading

Immigration and Police officers have arrested four Mainland visitors and a Hong Kong resident in a crackdown against illegal employment.

 

Officers yesterday raided seven blackspots for parallel goods trading in Sheung Shui and Fanling, including areas in the vicinity of the Advanced Technology Centre, San Wan Road, and Sheung Shui MTR Station.

 

A man and three women, aged 25 to 47, were arrested for breaching their conditions of stay.

 

A Hong Kong man, aged 43, was arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting Mainland visitors engaged in parallel trading activities.

 

Electronic products, home appliances, and food was seized.
