Immigration and Police officers have arrested 11 Mainland visitors and a Hong Kong resident in a crackdown on illegal employment.

Officers yesterday raided seven blackspots for parallel goods trading in Sheung Shui and Fanling, including areas in the vicinity of the Advanced Technology Centre, Cambridge Plaza, Tai Tau Leng Village, Po Shek Wu Road Sitting-out Area, and Sheung Shui and Fanling MTR Stations.

Five men and six women, aged 24 to 48, were arrested for breaching their conditions of stay.

A Hong Kong man, aged 30, was arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting Mainland visitors engaged in parallel trading activities.

Milk powder, electronic products, nutritious food and daily necessities were seized.
