Secretary for Security TK Lai continued his visit to Beijing today by calling on the security minister and customs officials.

Mr Lai met with the Minister of Public Security Meng Jianzhu and updated him on the current situation regarding law and order in Hong Kong, and exchanged views on matters of common concern.

Mr Lai also met with the Minister of the General Administration of Customs Yu Guangzhou.

Yesterday, he met with Vice Foreign Minister Xie Hangsheng; the Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate Cao Jianming; and, the Vice President of the Supreme People's Court Jiang Bixin.

Mr Lai will return to Hong Kong on November 29.
