Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for the murder of a 24-year-old woman in Tai Po and the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man in Tung Chung.

At about 3pm yesterday, Police received a report that a man had attacked his colleague with a chopper outside a residential building at 12 Tung Chung Waterfront Road.

Officers arrested the attacker and sent the victim to Princess Margaret Hospital.

Police came to suspect the attacker of having attacked a 24-year-old woman at a flat in Kui Wo House in Tai Po a day earlier.

Officers found the woman's body on a bed with multiple stab wounds, and seized a knife.
