The Customs & Excise Department has seized 321 turtles, 198 snakes and a light goods vehicle worth $100,000 in Tai Ho Wan, Tung Chung. The turtles and snakes are endangered species.

Officers found three men loading goods from the van onto a speedboat at the seashore in Tai Ho Wan at about 7pm last night.

The men fled in the speedboat. The officers seized 18 bags of live turtles, nine boxes of live snakes and the van.
