The Fanling Magistrates' Courts today fined two local women $500 each for illegally exporting powdered formula.

Customs officers stopped the women, aged 62 and 40, on March 6 at Lo Wu control point and found four cans of powdered formula in their baggage weighing 3.6 kilogrammes, which was confiscated. 

By making two departures from Hong Kong within 24 hours with the formula, they contravened the Import & Export (General)(Amendment) Regulation 2013.
