Police are investigating a homicide and suicide case in Yau Ma Tei in which a 49-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman died today.

 

A security guard reported to Police that a woman called for an ambulance at 1 Austin Road at about 1pm.

 

Officers sped to the scene and found the 47-year-old woman jumping out of the flat. She was certified dead at the scene.

 

Police found the woman’s 49-year-old boyfriend dead at the scene with multiple cut wounds on his body.

 

Three knives were seized from the flat, and autopsies will be conducted.

Police today charged two men aged 18 and 19 jointly with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

 

The men were arrested in connection with a murder and wounding case in Pat Heung yesterday in which a 50-year-old man was killed and his 39-year-old wife was seriously injured. The 19-year-old was also injured.

 

An autopsy will be conducted, and the case will be heard in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts in their absence on March 18.

 

 

Customs officers at Lok Ma Chau control point seized 3.1 kg methamphetamine yesterday worth $2.22 million and arrested two men aged 47 and 52.

 

Officers found the drugs while searching an incoming cross-boundary truck. The two men, who both claimed to be truck drivers, were put on bail pending further investigation.

Police today charged two men aged 29 and 35 jointly with two counts of murder.

 

They were arrested on March 15 when evidence was found linking them to the deaths of the 29-year-old man's parents, who were reported missing on March 9.

 

The two men will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts tomorrow.
