The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has ordered a Tsuen Wan restaurant to suspend business for two weeks for illegally extending the food business area.

 

The restaurant in Sam Pei Square was ordered to close until April 5.

Police are investigating a Tai Po traffic accident in which a 67-year-old taxi driver died today.

 

His vehicle reportedly hit the back of a truck on the Tolo Highway about 4.15am.

 

He was sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was later certified dead.

 

His 44-year-old male passenger was also sent to the hospital with head and chest injuries.

 

Witnesses should call Police on 3661 3800.

Customs officers today arrested two foreign men, aged 44 and 40, for trafficking 12kg of methamphetamine worth $8.56 million.

 

Officers intercepted the men as they were departing Hong Kong International Airport, heading for Korea.

 

They found the drugs concealed in two diving suits in the mens' suitcases.

 

The men will be charged with drug trafficking and will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistracy tomorrow.
