Two immigration officers from the Immigration Division of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Guangdong arrived in Long'an County in Nanning, Guangxi, today to help the Hong Kong people involved in a traffic accident.

The five men and 12 women were injured in the May 6 incident. All were admitted to local hospitals for treatment, with three in serious condition.

Hong Kong authorities, including the Immigration Department, are liaising with the travel company and Mainland officials.

The trade office will follow up on the incident and maintain contact with the Hong Kong residents, the travel company, and Mainland authorities to render assistance.
