The Fire Services Department Ambulance Pioneers On-car Attachment Scheme will be conducted in the form of an experience camp instead of an on-car attachment.

The department made the announcement today in response to public concerns about the scheme.

It said the new approach will achieve the objectives set for the original scheme, which are to enable teenage members of uniformed groups to better understand the ambulance service, and to interact and exchange knowledge with other uniformed peers.
