Police arrested a 36-year-old man today for dangerous driving, after an accident in which a 10-year-old boy was killed.

 

The man's private car reportedly collided with a goods van on Texaco Road at around 3.30pm. The van then hit a traffic sign and a lamppost, and was turned over on its side.

 

The driver, the boy and four other van passengers were sent to Yan Chai Hospital. The boy was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he died at around 6pm.

 

Witnesses should call Police on 3661 1348.

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for the death of a 10-year-old boy, after his private car collided with a goods van in which the boy was riding.

 

About 3.30pm, a goods van driven by a 45-year-old man reportedly collided with the man’s private car on Texaco Road. The goods van then hit a traffic sign and a lamppost, and was turned over on its side.

 

The boy had severe head injuries. He was sent to Yan Chai Hospital and was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he died at around 6pm.

 

The driver and four other van passengers were also injured, and were sent to Yan Chai Hospital.

 

Witnesses should call Police at 3661 1348.
