Police are investigating a 40-year-old police officer's death inside the Happy Valley Police Station today.
The Senior Police Constable, attached to the Happy Valley Police Division Patrol Subunit, was found locked inside a changing room at about 3pm.
Police broke into the room and found he had a gunshot wound to his right temple, and was certified dead at thescene.
It is believed he committed suicide with his service revolver, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

A 54-year-old woman injured in a No.1 alarm fire in Shau Kei Wan on Main Street East on July 17 has died.
The fire broke out in a seventh-floor flat in the King Fai Building just before 2pm on Wednesday. Firefighters put it out before 2:30pm, and evacuated about 35 people to safety.
They found the woman with burns and sent her to Queen Mary Hospital. She died at 9pm last night.
No suspicious circumstances were detected concerning the fire's cause.
