I worked for Rockwell, who built the B1-1, and it is a beautiful aircraft... I am proud to have been on that team... 8 posted on 11/25/2020 5:14:14 PM PST by Dottiesmom [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies ] To: Mariner Imagine if these missiles could be adapted to Trident submarines. Tridents have 24? missile launchers with multiple MIRVS on each - not a secret. They have modified some of those nuke tubes to shoot cruise missiles. Modify a few more for these hypersonic intercepters and we would rule the seas and the World. Also, think of the Space Force with such capability.
As I've said many times, the reason I sleep well is because of our Tridents. Bombers are good, but can be shot out of the sky. Land based ICBM's are becoming obsolete. No one knows where our Tridents are, even the enemy satellites if they cruise deep enough. They are our first line of deterrence and our last line of defense.
Bless our Submariners and their heavy duty. 9 posted on 11/25/2020 5:14:35 PM PST by A Navy Vet (I'm not Islamophobic - I'm Islamo nauseated. Also LGBTQxyz nauseated ) [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies ] To: Mariner
It won’t be long before China will have one of these — courtesy of Biden and his administration (God forbid). 10 posted on 11/25/2020 5:17:13 PM PST by 353FMG [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies ] To: Dottiesmom
I worked on the B-1B radar test systems at General Dynamics. Wonder if my code is still running? 11 posted on 11/25/2020 5:18:23 PM PST by vrwc1
