The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently seized P1-million worth of shabu hidden inside two bluetooth speakers bought from Lazada.
NBI agents arrested three suspects at a house in Sampaloc, Manila after they were caught taking out shabu from the speakers.
Arrested at the house in Sampaloc were: George Castro, Norberto Faustino and Reynaldo De Leon.
Prior to the arrest, the NBI anti-illegal drugs task force (NBI-TFAID) conducted surveillance operations on the house, which could supposedly be rented for “drug sessions.”
“Based on our investigation, the method designed by the suspects proved to be effective and remained undetected since it started in 2019,” said NBI-TFAID head Jonathan Galicia.
