The assurance was given during a meeting between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong.

However the reason for the sudden meeting between the Prime Minister and Chinese Ambassador has not been divulged and there was no mention about the US $42 million deal on the importation 96,000 tonnes of fertiliser from Qingdao Siwin Biotech Group Co Ltd during the discussion.…
