Police are investigating a traffic accident near Tai Po, in which a 57-year-old taxi driver died today.

His taxi crashed into a roadside water barrier on Tolo Highway near Kam Shan about 5.20am. He stepped out of the vehicle, which was then struck by a car and a van.

The taxi driver was found lying on the ground, and he and the car driver were sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital, where the taxi driver later died.

Witnesses should call Police on 3661 3800.
