Chief Secretary Carrie Lam said yesterday’s joint operation to crackdown on cross-boundary couriers in North District was effective.

Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam said more than 100 officers were deployed in the operation to stem the distribution and supply of goods at source.

The action will not affect Mainland visitors' shopping activities, she said, adding more operations will be conducted in future to ensure the livelihood of North District residents is not adversely affected.
