Police officers issued a total of 136 fixed-penalty tickets and 104 summonses to road users violating traffic regulations in a crackdown in Kowloon East yesterday.
The 292 officers sent to enforce traffic regulations at traffic black sites in the region also issued 311 tickets for illegal parking and other traffic offences, and verbally warned 31 pedestrians for jaywalking and other minor offences.
A total of 1,428 traffic accidents involving casualties occurred in Kowloon East from January to August this year.
