Jasper Tsang was elected Legislative Council President at the new-term Legislative Council's first meeting today.

Lawmakers elected the president after taking the Legislative Council Oath.

The council’s House Committee also held its first meeting this afternoon. Andrew Leung was elected chairman, and Ronny Tong deputy.

The Finance Committee held its first meeting immediately after the House Committee meeting, Tommy Cheung and Emily Lau were elected chairman and deputy.
