Police today charged the 32-year-old man who tried to attack several officers in Tung Chung yesterday, with attempted wounding.

They approached him while he was hurting himself with knives outside a building at the Caribbean Coast.

He attempted to attack the officers, and a Sergeant fired one shot at him after he ignored several verbal warnings.

He was arrested and sent to Princess Margaret Hospital.

The case will be heard in Tsuen Wan Magistracy in his absence tomorrow.
