A 36-year-old man has died after his vehicle crashed into a toll booth in Tin Sum and caught fire.

He was driving a van along Tsing Tsing Sha Highway towards Sha Tin at about 9.30pm when the accident occurred near the toll plaza of Eagle’s Nest Tunnel.

He was trapped inside and died as firefighters tried to rescue him.
