The incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Tang Kam-moon, will extend his current term of office for six months to August 12, the Police announced today.

Approval has been given to extend Mr Tang's service to facilitate a smooth transition of the senior management.

Mr Tang is scheduled to retire upon reaching the normal retirement age of 57 on February 13.
