Fill 2 Copy 11 Monday 15 February 2021 05:19, UK Image: The Royal Ulster Constabulary truck eventually sold for \u00a33,100 Why you can trust Sky News<br \/>\nAn historic 26-tonne truck with a water cannon has been sold online for \u00a33,100.<br \/>\nThe fortified police vehicle was used to control riots in Northern Ireland in 1970 but, after 20 years outside a museum in Humberside, it is in need of restoration.<br \/>\nThe winning bid was one of 12 placed for the Royal Ulster Constabulary truck, which is the only known example of its kind in existence.<br \/>\nMilitary equipment specialists Allsops of Bolton said they had initially bought the 1970 Foden Pyrene on impulse at an auction.<br \/>\nJonathan Allsop said: \"We have had a lot of enquiries, a lot of people have come forward and told us about the engine.
