Customs officers seized 104kg of 'ice' worth $42 million at the airport yesterday.

The drugs were found in five transit express cargo consignments declared to contain water filters sent from the Mainland bound for Malaysia.

Customs officers became suspicious after studying X-ray images of the cargo and discovered the drugs hidden inside the filters' metal cylinders.

Drug trafficking carries a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.

Police have urged protesters to remove obstacles and personal belongings in protest areas and leave in a peaceful and orderly manner immediately, as they will clear the roads and pavements in Admiralty tomorrow.

Police will support bailiffs to execute injunction orders and will then re-open nearby roads.

People should avoid going to protest areas, Police said, urging people, particularly students, to stay away from radical demonstrators and not be used or incited by them.

Police said resolute action will be taken against anyone who obstructs or violently charges the bailiffs or Police.

Secretary for Security TK Lai says Police are ready to reopen roads and restore public order.

Speaking to reporters today, Mr Lai said Police will help bailiffs enforce court injunctions tomorrow and reopen blocked roads in Admiralty.

He urged protesters to leave the occupied areas peacefully by tomorrow morning, and not to block roads, obstruct Police or resort to violence.

Mr Lai also reminded students to leave as soon as possible and to stay away from troublemakers to avoid getting hurt during the Police clearance.

He reiterated that officers will take resolute action against anyone who obstructs enforcement of the injunctions, blocks roads, charges at Police or disturbs public order.

On whether Admiralty MTR station will be closed tomorrow, Mr Lai said it depends on the situation. He appealed to protesters to co-operate with Police, as any special arrangements will cause inconvenience to the huge number of commuters that use the station.
