Police today arrested a bus driver after his vehicle reportedly struck and killed an 86-year-old pedestrian in Ma On Shan.

The accident happened at around 9.37am at a bus terminus near Wu Kai Sha MTR Station. The 53-year-old driver was approaching the pick-up and drop-off area when his bus reportedly knocked down the 86-year-old man who was crossing the road.

The man was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital where he later died.

The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
