Police are investigating a murder and wounding case in Wong Tai Sin today, in which a 26-year-old man died.

At about 3.20pm, a man and a woman were reportedly fighting in a corridor of a floor at King Kung House in Choi Wan Estate.

Officers later found a 26-year-old man lying unconscious in the lift lobby with stab wounds to his chest. He was sent to United Christian Hospital where he later died.

Police also found a 48-year-old woman unconscious inside a flat on the same floor, with stab wounds to her stomach. She was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police seized a fruit knife and a chopper from the scene.

Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen attended the 54th annual session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation in Beijing today. 

Mr Yuen attended the event as a member of the Chinese delegation, and joined the inaugural session held at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse this morning, where Premier Li Keqiang delivered an opening address. 

He was also a guest at a special session commemorating the Bandung Conference's 60th anniversary, where delegates from more than 40 Asian and African countries reaffirmed the five key principles enunciated 60 years ago, namely, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-aggression, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.

The organisation serves as an advisory body in international law and as a forum for Asian-African cooperation in legal matters. It currently has 47 member states and two permanent observer states.

Delegates to this year's session will discuss issues including international trade law, investor-state dispute resolution, law of the sea, cyberspace and international law, as well as environment and sustainable development. 

Yesterday, Mr Yuen met with Supreme People's Procuratorate Procurator-General Cao Jianming and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Treaty & Law Department Director-General Xu Hong.

The Immigration Department and Police arrested 12 Mainland visitors aged 29 to 58, in an anti-illegal employment crackdown in Sheung Shui yesterday.

One man and 11 women were arrested for breaching their conditions of stay by being involved in suspected parallel goods trading in Ka Fu Close, San Wan Road and Po Wan Road in Sheung Shui.

Officers seized milk powder, food, skincare products, daily necessities and electronic products.

A total of 2,068 Mainland visitors and 14 Hong Kong residents have been arrested for parallel goods trading since 2012. Of these, 215 Mainlanders have been prosecuted and 204 of them have been jailed.

Police Commissioner Andy Tsang today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean National Police Agency Deputy Commissioner General Lee Sang-Won.

This is the first cooperation agreement signed between the Hong Kong Police and the KNPA at the organisational level, covering cooperation in different areas of policing.

“Working together, we place ourselves in a much more advantageous position to meet head on the challenges of transnational crime, particularly cyber and technology crime, and international terrorism,” Mr Tsang said.

“The KNPA attaches great importance to cooperation with the HKP. And I believe it is important for our two agencies to establish stronger cooperation to ensure safety and security in Asia by countering the threats of terrorism and transnational crime,” Mr Lee said.
