A 57-year-old taxi driver was killed and a 57-year-old bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death in Tai Wai this evening. 
 

At about 6pm, a bus driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along Tai Chung Kiu Road towards Ma on Shan, while a public light bus and a private car were travelling on the same road towards Tai Wai. When the bus turned right into Sha Kok Street, the four vehicles collided. 

 

Another bus that passing by was hit by debris.

 

The taxi driver sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he later died.

 

Twelve men and seven women aged nine to 79, were also hurt. They were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital and Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for treatment.

 

Witnesses should call Police on 3661 1300.

Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen today attended the Conference of Attorneys General in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to exchange views on the roles of attorneys general in a changing Asia.

 

The conference, organised by the Attorney General's Department of Sri Lanka, brought together legal officials from 17 Asian countries and regions.

 

Mr Yuen participated in the conference's three plenary sessions and panel discussion.

 

He also met with Sri Lankan Attorney General Yuvanjana Wijayatilake, and called on the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wu Jianghao.
